Why "Radiate Joy"?
For the longest time, I've wanted to create an online platform to share what Jesus is teaching me through everything that I am experiencing. Whether it's the good, the bad, or even the unknown.
See, when I was in high school I lost my best friend to a horrible car accident. It was because of that experience that I met Jesus on a deep and personal level. I had to learn that His joy is always with us, even in our darkest pits. "He fills us with good things." Psalm 103:5
I used to have a hard time believing that He filled my life with "good" things when life is hard. But, do you know what the best part is? He made us vessels so that we would be able to let His light shine through our brokenness. The things that we go through may hurt, they may break us down, and they may make us bitter for awhile - but they also make us stronger followers of Christ who are able to shine His light for a bigger purpose.
This is what it means to Radiate Joy - that no matter what you're facing, no matter how beaten down or broken you are, or no matter how lonely you're feeling - you are able to radiate His light through the cracks in the vessel He created you to be.
"We now have this light shining in our hearts, but we ourselves are like fragile clay jars containing this great treasure. This makes it clear that our great power is from God, not from ourselves." -2 Corinthians 4:7
He needs to be the shining light through me in the good, the bad, and the unknown. My challenge for you as we go on this journey together is to let Jesus' light shine through you, to radiate His joy to those around, and to love like Christ does.
